I recently met some friends at Thai Basil in Livonia, Michigan (http://www.yelp.com/biz/thai-basil-livonia). I'd heard many good things about it, so I finally got to try it.
I think it's my favorite Thai place in metro Detroit! As I've said before, I haven't tried too many either. But still…Thai Basil was fantastic! The Chicken Pad Thai had a lot of flavor without being overbearingly hot nor was it too oily/greasy. I did order it medium though. Maybe next time I will try medium plus to see how much of a difference there is. I do like spicy food, but not so spicy that it takes away from the flavor. The hot & sour soup was the best I've ever had anywhere! Again, it had excellent flavor with just a little spicy kick to it.
I wish I lived closer to Thai Basil, as I'd get takeout from there all the time!
