You can tell that this movie was made in the Vietnam era by the way it thumbs its nose at war. It's actually somewhat MASH-like.
It is a mad-cap, goofy, silly caper that is tons of fun to watch. It has a great cast and the characters played by Telly Savalas as Big Joe, Clint as Kelly & Don Rickles as Crapgame are all about what you'd expect out of these characters. Donald Sutherland as Oddball steals the show as a goofy, half-stoned tank commander. Or he may have been fully stoned…
I definitely enjoyed watching this movie. It always helps that two of my favorite actors (Clint & Sutherland) star in it. I give it 7.5/10 stars.
