So I looked through my DVR list & here are the shows I am watching on a weekly basis (starting with Sunday):
- The Walking Dead (AMC): The best show I am currently watching!
- Talking Dead (AMC): A recap of the night's Walking Dead
- Luck (HBO): The jury is still out for me on this one...
- Eastbound & Down (HBO): Stupid, yet still pretty funny...but getting worse
- House of Lies (Showtime): New somewhat dark comedy, not bad...Don Cheadle is great
- Californication (Showtime): One of my all-time favorite comedies, but going downhill
- The Voice (NBC): The only reality shows I watch are singing shows & this one is the best of them
- 2 Broke Girls (CBS): New sitcom, kind of raunchy & not bad
- New Girl (Fox): Probably the best new sitcom on TV...Zooey Deschanel is her quirky self but the character named Schmidt (Max Greenfield) makes the show
- Justified (FX): The 2nd best show I am watching...Raylan Givens is the best cop on TV along with John Luther from the TV show "Luther"
- American Idol (Fox): At least I admit it!
- Modern Family (ABC): The funniest show on TV, hands down!
- Happy Endings (ABC): A pretty decent Friends-like sitcom
- The Office (NBC): Just not the same since Steve Carrell left the show
- Person of Interest (CBS): The best new drama I am watching
- Up All Night (NBC): A new sitcom that if it weren't for Will Arnett wouldn't be very good
- Spartacus Vengeance (Starz): Over the top gore/sex fest...but wickedly entertaining!
- Fringe (ABC): The best nerd show since "Lost"

A good list, but I have to disagree with you about Modern Family. Humor is such a subjective thing. I like Modern Family a lot, but to me, it's not nearly as funny as Parks & Recreation or Community.
Saundra...I have heard very good things about both shows so I'm adding season 1 of both to my Netflix queue!
